Or tap, hold, and select one of these options from the shortcut menu.
Delete an App from App Library#
Unlike a PC or a Mac, the Home screen on iPhone and iPad is a place to store every app, shortcut, and widget you have installed. It began simply enough but has gained more and more functionality over the years, though much of it has been tucked away to reduce confusion. That way, if you don't want it, you never have to see it. Screen Time is an in-built feature of iPhone gadgets, and one can not completely delete it from the phone. Only the data can be removed in the Screen Time feature. There is an option to turn off the feature; if it does, it will no longer monitor or track the time when talking about each app.

What you probably didn’t know is that Focus also lets you set specific Home Screen pages to show or hide when a certain Focus mode is activated. This is huge because it lets you create the perfect Home Screen for work or leisure time, hiding unnecessary pages from your Home Screen until you actually need them. Any folders you’ve created are removed, and apps you’ve downloaded are arranged alphabetically after apps that came with your iPad. Drag the app to the right edge of the screen. You might need to wait a second for the new page to appear. The dots above the Dock show how many pages you have and which one you’re viewing.
Organize your Home Screen
Go to the App Library, then tap the search field. Thank you for signing up to iMore. You will receive a verification email shortly. Swipe right on your Home screen to get to the widget screen. Swipe your finger down to pull down the Spotlight search field. Double click the Home button or, in the case of Face ID-compatible devices, slowly slide your finger from the bottom of the device.
That is where you now add things to the Home Screen. If you did, connect your iPad to your computer and sync without that app selected under the Apps tab in the menu. Touch and hold the app icon, then tap Delete App. Scroll down the list of apps to find the one that you want to delete. Touch the top right edge of the screen where the battery, cellular, and wi-fi icons are.

However, if you’re using recovery mode to update or troubleshoot your iPad, you should know that it comes with a risk of data loss.
